Maris Pedaja is the winner of Tartu Poetry Slam TarSlämm 2019. The poem ‘Skin and Fleas’ was part of the international project Borderlines and performed on the 29th of March 2019 at the Literature House of Tartu.
Maris Pedaja is a dreamer, adventure seeker and climate activist. She is curious about the world and her heart belongs to the wilderness – her close ones suspect that she has a bit of Robinson Crusoe in her blood. She loves autumn, peppermint tea and fresh raspberries. Playing with words helps her to milden the reality and float in between the daily life and magical realism.
