Matt Miller is a poet, theatre maker and workshop facilitator who writes about place, identity and belonging and, on one occasion, going to Mars forever. In 2014, Matt was selected as one of The BBC’s Verb New Voices and is the current Derby Poetry Festival Slam Champion. They have been praised by Ian McMillan (The Verb) for ‘dramatic powers of urban storytelling’. Matt recently worked as a lead artist on Emerge, a project which aims to give young people a creative voice, working with young artists in Mansfield to set up an arts festival in April 2019. Matt’s current theatre show Fitting explores cross-dressing, with storytelling, physical theatre and stage magic, and will be touring the UK in Autumn 2019 to Spring 2020.
